Amplar Health Online Psychology supports young people aged 12 years and over.
For children aged 12 to 15 years, a parent or guardian must complete a consent form before the first appointment and attend the initial session. During registration, parent or guardian details are collected and used to manage consent, account verification and appointment communications. Eligible consumers are then matched with psychologists experienced in working with children and young people.
How does guardian consent work?
Where guardian consent is required, parent or guardian details are collected during registration. The nominated guardian receives the required consent documentation, and the support team provides assistance and follow up to support completion of the process before care commences.
Are psychologists qualified to work with young people?
Yes. Psychologists providing services to young people maintain current AHPRA registration and hold relevant Working with Children Checks or equivalent screening requirements applicable to their jurisdiction.
What age group can access the service?
Amplar Health Online Psychology can support young people aged 12 years and over. Additional consent requirements apply for younger consumers.
How are psychologists matched for young people?
Amplar Health Online Psychology provides access to psychologists with experience supporting children and young people. Parents and guardians can share specific concerns, goals or areas of support during the consent process to help identify a suitable psychologist match.
